A Visit to My Childhood

Today brought back a few memories for me. The memory of begging to go to the zoo and then spending hours just looking at animal after animal. The memory of my tradition of visiting my birthplace whenever I am in Hungary. And the memory of listening to Hungarian children's songs in the car everyday on the way to school when I lived here in 6th grade.
Today Judit and I took a trip to the zoo. It was like a normal visit to the zoo, but for some reason this trip was the most special and it touched me in a way than none of the other ones had. I marveled at how uniquely beautiful each animal was, and I began to realize that God created each one with a lot of care and thought. For instance the elephant. It is amazing how they can use their trunk almost like a hand, to scoop up their food and lift it into their mouth. Or the giraffe's necks. The length is to allow the animal to be able to reach high into a tree to collect the food that it needs. God created all of these animals with the right neccesities to provide for themselves and to be able to fit into nature with all the other species of animals. I find it incredible how He put so much detail into thousands of different animals, but also how different He made them from each other. Not one animal is the same as another.
Then we went to visit the hospital I was born in. It is called the Máv Korház and this is the third time I have visited it since my birth. I really enjoyed being able to see it again and have memories of previous visits flood back.
Also I am almost sure that in the car today I heard the same exact tape in the car that I listened to all the time when I lived here before. It was very wierd, but quite fun to sing a long with it and see how many of the songs I remembered.
