I Am a Soldier!

I have just returned from a 4 day family vacation where we stayed in a small village outside the city of Pécs, Hungary. Each year a city (or a few) in Europe is (are) picked by the EU to be considered the Cultural Capital of Europe for the year. This year Pécs was voted as one out of 3 capitals and I was lucky enough to be able to visit it. It was a beautiful little city with lovely architecture and many shows, programs, and events taking place in the evening and throughout the day. While we were there I toured a cave, a nice cool break from the constant heat wave here and spent many other hours visiting castle ruins, swimming, playing mini golf, trying European McDonald’s, enjoying Vasarely's and Zsolnay's museums, playing in Pécs's foot baths, eating way too much, and trying on a World War II soldier's gear (a role in which I was quite convincing).
Love,
Emily
